The legendary DeLorean DMC from the Back to the Future films will be released in an electric version

The electric car was developed by the automobile concern Lynx Motors. The new version of the iconic DeLorean DMC-E will receive an updated design with LEDs and modernized touch controls.

There are few details about the car. It is known that the electric car will receive a modern side impact protection system, an electronic stabilization system ESP, a 70 kWh battery from CATL and four Elaphe L1600 electric engines. On one charge, the electric car will be able to travel up to 402 kilometers, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h will be 4 seconds.

It is not yet known when the concern will begin creating an electric car. A total of 100 copies are planned to be produced. The original DeLorean DMC was produced in 1979-85 and did not gain much popularity (only 5,000 cars were produced). However, after the release of the trilogy of science fiction films, Back to the Future received cult status.
