The authors of Battlefield 2042 have laid out a roadmap for Season 7 updates

Content additions will be final for the game, but technical support will remain.

In the seventh and final season of Battlefield 2042, players will be able to look forward to new in-game events and challenges, as well as the opportunity to try out a redesigned map.

On April 16, the temporary event Crimson Front will become available to users, and two weeks later the redesigned “Stadium” map will launch. Mid-May will be marked by the appearance of new items and the DFR Strife automatic rifle. Another Future Strike event will begin between May and June.

The fact that the 7th season for Battlefield 2042 will be the final one was announced on April 9. There will be no more content released for the game, but technical support will remain. The main tension of the developers will be the production of the next part of the series. A new shooter in the franchise could be released at the end of 2025 or as early as 2026.
