Amazon will develop a series about Lara Croft

The development will involve Crystal Dynamics, as well as actress and screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge, best known for the television series Fleabag and the recent fourth installment of Indiana Jones.

Production has started on a series based on Amazon’s Tomb Raider. It should be released on Prime Video streaming. Release dates have not yet been announced.

Details about the project are scarce. It is known that the studio Crystal Dynamics will work on the adaptation of the games about Lara Croft, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) will take on the script. Bridge will also serve as executive producer.

According to Bridge, presenting a Tomb Raider show is a big part of it for her. The actress can’t wait to get to work. At the same time, it is unknown whether she will play any role in the project or whether she will limit herself to screenwriting and producing functions.
