YouTube to Increase Shorts Video Length to 3 Minutes

Now authors can upload videos up to 60 seconds long.

The innovation will come into effect on October 15. The head of the YouTube Shorts division, Todd Sherman, noted in his commentary that Shorts is the most popular option on the platform for content creators. Therefore, the hosting decided to give users more flexibility in this matter.

It is curious that the service for creating and viewing short videos TikTok increased the possible duration of uploaded videos from one minute to three back in 2021. Now the service allows you to upload videos up to 10 minutes long (or 1 hour if uploaded via the application).
