YouTube in Chrome will get a convenient feature for parallel viewing of videos
- AYG -Google is testing a new feature for the web version of the video hosting service that will save users from inconvenience when switching between tabs. An improved mechanism for the picture-in-picture format has been added to the experimental build of Chrome Canary. Now, when switching from YouTube to another tab, the browser automatically offers to activate the mini-player – either for the current session or on a permanent basis.

If the user agrees, the video continues to play in a small window on top of other tabs, allowing you to follow the content without having to keep YouTube active. There is also an option to completely disable this feature, which is useful for those who use the service only for background listening to music.
So far, the innovation is available only to a limited circle of testers in Chrome Canary. Google has not yet announced the official release date for all users.
