Ubisoft is preparing a major return of Rayman in a new AAA project

More than a decade after the last major game in the franchise, Ubisoft is actively preparing for a new platformer about the adventures of the iconic character Rayman. Ubisoft Milan, the studio known for the Mario + Rabbids strategy games, has posted vacancies for a 3D animator and game designer to develop a “prestigious AAA title” that will take place in the familiar Glade of Dreams.

The ads specifically emphasize the need for experience in the production of several released games, which indicates serious ambitions on the part of the developers. This marks a long-awaited return of the series after the commercial failures of the past years – the last main part of Rayman Legends was released in 2013.

Interestingly, the production of the next game was entrusted to Ubisoft Milan, and not to the traditional creator of the franchise – Ubisoft Montpellier. However, the Milan team has already dealt with the character, including him in the DLC for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Fans of the series can finally look forward to a full-fledged return of the legendary platformer in a new quality.
