The Amber.Page startup has introduced an unusual device for fans of retro design and productivity. The new AmberDeck accessory combines the aesthetics of 1980s computers and modern technology, turning the iPhone into a portable typewriter.

The main feature of the gadget is a pseudo-mechanical keyboard with increased key travel, which provides a tactile sensation close to typing on classic PCs. The compact 60% layout and minimalist design allow you to focus on working with text, eliminating distractions. The smartphone is fixed in an adjustable hinge, changing the angle of the screen, but in this mode, calls and camera are not available – the developers deliberately limited the functionality for maximum concentration.

AmberDeck is compatible not only with iPhone, but also with Android devices. In addition to physical capabilities, the gadget is equipped with a built-in AI assistant that helps edit texts, suggest ideas and generate content. The device is still in the prototype stage, but if it goes on sale, it could become an interesting alternative to traditional keyboards and a favorite gadget for fans of retrofuturism.
