Trailer for documentary filmed entirely in GTA Online released

Critics have given the unusual film a very positive review.

The documentary, titled Grand Theft Hamlet, tells the story of attempts to stage Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. The project is being produced by Tull Stories. Filming took place back in 2021 during the coronavirus pandemic. A trailer has now been released.

The hour-and-a-half-long film was already shown at the SXSW festival this spring, where it even won the Best Documentary Film nomination. The film received high marks from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic aggregators – 92% and 79/100, respectively.
