The world’s first professional roboboxing tournament took place in China
- AYG -Unitree Robotics organized the revolutionary Iron Fist King event – the first official boxing tournament among humanoid robots. The event, which ended on May 25, was a technological breakthrough, demonstrating the capabilities of modern robotic systems in a real-life confrontation.

The tournament participants, including a 35-kilogram, 132-cm tall robot from Unitree Robotics, were equipped with advanced computer vision systems (lidars and ToF cameras), precision motion control systems and multimodal control via controllers, wireless interfaces and voice commands. The competition was held according to classic boxing rules with an eight-second knockout countdown.

As Unitree Robotics marketer Chen Xiyun noted, the unusual boxers demonstrated the entire arsenal of a professional fighter – straight, side and circular punches, as well as the ability to rise on their own after a fall. The next stage of the technology competition is scheduled for December 2025 in Shenzhen.
