Such a sudden increase in popularity can be explained by the excitement around the trailer for the fourth part, which became the most viewed video at the TGA 2024 ceremony. The video caused heated discussions among fans, which drew attention to the latest major game in the franchise.

Earlier, representatives of CD Projekt RED said that the decision to make Ciri the central character of The Witcher IV was made ten years ago. The new project is already in active production, but the exact release dates are still unknown.
