The Sims 3 Gets First Patch in 9 Years: Game Now Runs Normally on Modern PCs
- AYG -Long after the release of the last update, EA has released a new patch for The Sims 3, fixing the issue of the game’s incompatibility with Intel chips of the 12th generation and newer. This unexpected move allowed fans of the iconic life simulator to enjoy the game on modern devices again.
Since the release of the last patch in November 2015, many fans have encountered difficulties launching The Sims 3 on new computers. However, a fresh update, currently available exclusively in the EA App, fixes this technical issue. There is no information yet on whether the patch will appear on Steam.
This year, The Sims celebrates its 25th anniversary. Players are eagerly awaiting news about additional content for The Sims 4, because the development of The Sims 5 was canceled last fall.
