The Legend of Zelda Movie Coming in 2027 — Nintendo Announces Premiere Date

Following the successful release of The Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo has revealed the release date of the full-length film based on The Legend of Zelda. The film will hit theaters on March 26, 2027.

So far, no details about the project have been announced, including the plot, cast, or style. However, it is known that Wes Ball (Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom, three parts of The Maze Runner) will act as director, and Shigeru Miyamoto, who also had a hand in The Mario Bros. Movie, will sit in the producer’s chair.

Fresh details of the film will likely be presented in the coming months. It is possible that Nintendo will reveal information as early as April 2 at the upcoming Switch 2 presentation.
