The Legend of Zelda film adaptation has been postponed

Nintendo’s plans to release a film based on the cult game have undergone changes – the premiere of the film has been moved from March 26 to May 7, 2027. As Shigeru Miyamoto, the legendary game designer and “father” of Mario, explained, the delay is due to the creators’ desire to achieve the highest quality of the film adaptation.

The decision to postpone came as a surprise to fans, especially against the backdrop of the resounding success of the cartoon “Super Mario Bros. Movie”. Despite the active preparation of the project, the details of the film remain hidden. It is only known that Nintendo and Sony Pictures are involved in production, and the director’s chair is occupied by Wes Ball, known for his work on “Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom”. Information about the cast, including the performers of the roles of Link and Princess Zelda, has not yet been disclosed.

The postponement of the release date indicates that Nintendo is taking a serious approach to the film adaptation of one of its key franchises. Fans can only wait for new details about the project, which, apparently, will only hit the screens after careful preparation.
