The iPhone 17 Air battery is disappointing in capacity — only 2800 mAh

New information about one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2025, the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, has appeared online. According to information from the South Korean portal Naver, the future new product from Apple will receive a very modest battery – its capacity will be only 2800 mAh. For a device 5.5 mm thick, this figure can be a serious drawback, especially against the background of competitors. For example, the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge, with similar positioning, offers a 3900 mAh battery.

However, the source claims that Apple will introduce a new battery design that will provide a 15-20% increase in resource compared to current models. This should partially compensate for the low capacity.

In addition, the iPhone 17 Air, according to preliminary data, will receive a 6.6-inch display with a Dynamic Island cutout, durable protective glass, a separate camera button, an Apple A19 processor, and support for Wi-Fi 7. Sales are expected to start in the fall of 2025, and the minimum price of the device will be $999.
