EA and DICE decided to return to the roots in the new part of the shooter.

The newly appointed head of the Battlefield franchise told about the details of the new chapter of the series. Thus, the game will have a modern setting without futuristic elements like in the latest Battlefield 2042. In addition, the return of the fighter class system instead of specialists and a limit of 64 players instead of 128 match participants is expected. Various natural disasters will also appear in the game. The creators intend to focus on the successful Battlefield 3 and 4 during development.

According to Zampella, the authors want to regain the trust of fans after the rather unsuccessful last Battlefield.

The release date and platforms on which the game will be released are still unknown. The first tests of the shooter should be held in 2025.
