Silent Hill f ban in Australia was a mistake

Reports of a horror ban in Australia turned out to be a technical error. The Australian Classification Board did not confirm the rumors, stating that the game had not yet undergone an age rating process.

As it turned out, the classification refusal mark appeared due to a glitch on the site, and was later removed. The board said that the rating will be assigned closer to the game’s release, but no decisions have been made yet.

The ESRB has already assigned the horror film an M17+ rating for violence and bloodiness, and in Japan, the title received an 18+ age rating for the first time in the franchise’s history.

The upcoming horror will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 platforms, but the release date has still not been announced.
