Second GTA 6 trailer sets record with 475 million views in 24 hours

Official data from Rockstar Games and The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the unprecedented success of the new trailer for the action game, which in its debut 24 hours after publication gained 475 million views across various platforms. This result significantly exceeded the figures of the first trailer, limited exclusively to YouTube and gained 93 million views during the same period in December 2023.

The multi-platform release of the video on YouTube, X (former Twitter) and other services allowed it to become the most viewed video announcement in history, overtaking the trailer for the comic book movie “Deadpool and Wolverine” with its 365 million. The musical accompaniment of the trailer – the song Hot Together by the group The Pointer Sisters – also caused a stir, increasing the number of plays on Spotify by 18200%.

As Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s Global Head of Editorial, noted, the soundtrack selection continues the Rockstar gaming franchise’s tradition of influencing pop culture through music. GTA 6 is expected to release on May 26, 2026, for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
