Rockstar Releases New GTA Trailer, But Not The One Fans Are Expecting

Rockstar Games has unveiled a trailer for GTA V Enhanced Edition, an updated version of the game for PC. The video appeared on the studio’s official YouTube channel.

The update includes improvements previously added to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, such as improved graphics, support for high FPS values, and accelerated loading. The version was released in early March 2025 and immediately appeared in the PC Game Pass catalog, which was probably the reason for the trailer’s release.

However, players were unhappy: many were expecting the announcement of the sixth part, and not another re-release of GTA V. As a result, the game received extremely low ratings on Steam, becoming the worst-rated Rockstar title on the platform.

Earlier, Strauss Zelnick, head of T2, explained the delay in showing GTA VI with a new marketing strategy – the studio now reveals details of new products closer to the release of the games.
