Rockstar May Push GTA VI Release Date to 2026, Says Journalist Jason Schreier
- AYG -Although the game’s release is officially scheduled for 2025, a Bloomberg columnist doubts that this deadline will be met. In the Kinda Funny Games podcast, he shared information received from insiders who indicate a high probability of a postponement.
Schreyer recalled that the scale of the project significantly increases the complexity of development. Even if Take-Two now states that the process is going according to plan, such statements are often made to maintain confidence in the audience. According to the journalist, the release may be delayed by at least three months.
As an example, he cited the case of Red Dead Redemption 2, the release of which was postponed twice. Initially, the western was planned for release in the fall of 2017, then postponed to spring 2018, and ultimately the release took place only in the fall of the same year. According to Schreyer, game development has become even more difficult in recent years, which makes the postponement of large projects more likely.
At the moment, there has been no official confirmation of changes in the dates from Rockstar or Take-Two.
