Retroid Pocket 6 to feature new Qualcomm chip
- AYG -Qualcomm has shared technical details of the upcoming Retroid Pocket 6 portable console. According to official data, the device will be one of the first on the market to receive the latest Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chipset, created specifically for mobile gaming.

The previous model of the series, Pocket 5, was equipped with Snapdragon 865, which, despite its age, remains a powerful solution for game emulation. However, competing brands such as AyaNeo have already switched to more modern processors. The new SoC promises not only to significantly increase performance, but also to improve energy efficiency, which will have a positive effect on the console’s autonomy.

In addition, it became known that another model of the company, Retroid Pocket Classic, will receive a more affordable Snapdragon G1 Gen 2, aimed at budget devices.
The exact timing of the announcement and the cost of the new Retroid consoles are still unknown.
