Resident Evil 5 Gets Age Rating for Xbox Series, Remaster May Be Announced Soon

A new mention of an action horror game rated M (17+) for Microsoft’s console has been found on the ESRB website. This may indicate that a re-release of the game is in the works for modern platforms.

There are few details yet: the list does not mention other platforms, and Capcom has not officially announced that it is working on an updated version. It is only known that the rating was assigned due to the presence of blood, violence and foul language, which corresponds to the characteristics of the original game.

A number of users on the ResetEra forum have suggested that Capcom may release updated versions of RE 5 and 6 with improved resolution and unlocked FPS. This is also supported by the fact that the ESRB recently registered Resident Evil 6 for Xbox Series. Official announcements may probably take place very soon.
