Red Dead Redemption 2 is being prepared for release on PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2

According to authoritative gaming publications, the studio is working on improved versions of the cult western RDR 2 for next-generation platforms. According to Gamereactor, the title will appear on Nintendo Switch 2 before the end of 2025, although the timing may change. This information is partially confirmed by the Nintendúo portal, which also has its own sources. There have been no official statements from the developers yet.

In addition to the version for the upcoming Nintendo console, the edition will receive an upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The updated versions of the game are expected to have increased resolution and support for 60 frames per second.

Interestingly, Take-Two’s recent financial report mentions a reissue of one of the previously released games, scheduled for release before March 2026. Shortly before this, the possibility of a GTA 4 remaster was discussed online, but new information indicates that the RDR 2 project is a priority.
