Readmoo Unveils World’s First Foldable E-Reader With Color Display
- AYG -At the Touch Taiwan 2025 exhibition, Readmoo presented a revolutionary reading device — MooInk V. This is the world’s first e-book with a flexible color E Ink screen that can be folded in half, like a regular paper book.

Technical features
The new product has an 8-inch E Ink Gallery 3 screen with a resolution of 1872 × 1440 pixels (300 ppi), capable of displaying up to 50,000 color shades. The developers claim that the screen can withstand 200,000 bends — with five openings per day, this is enough for about 55 years of operation.

E Ink engineers spent 9 years improving the technology: the new panel provides a higher refresh rate, improved brightness and contrast compared to previous generations of electronic ink.
Design and convenience
The book body is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, and the weight of the device is only 255 g. The book can be opened 180 to simulate traditional reading or 90 for compact use. When folded, the gadget easily fits into a clothing pocket.

Release date and price
The exact start date of sales and the cost of Readmoo MooInk V have not yet been disclosed. However, the announcement of the device has already caused a stir among e-book lovers who appreciate the innovative approach to design and technology.
