Quality Above All: Remedy Intends to Release Decent Remakes of the First Two Max Payne Parts

The studio continues to work on reimagining the first two parts of the cult third-person action series. The company’s CEO Tero Virtala noted in a recent interview that the projects will be completed to high standards.

The marketing campaign for the remakes will be handled by Rockstar Games, which owns the rights to the franchise. Remedy confirmed that all promotion costs will be borne by Rockstar. According to Virtala, the current stage of development already meets Rockstar’s expectations, which underlines the high level of trust between the companies. However, Remedy emphasizes that they have no right to make a mistake, because we are talking about reimagining the legendary series.

The developers promise to share new details about the projects next year. It is known that in August the team reached an important stage of development, which indicates stable progress.

Remedy’s Max Payne remakes are expected to preserve the atmosphere of the original games, while adding modern technology and improved graphics.
