Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon Summit 2025 With New Flagship Processor

Qualcomm has announced the dates for the annual Snapdragon Summit, where new processor solutions will be presented, at Computex 2025. This year, the summit will be held earlier than usual – from September 23 to 25. The main expected innovation will be the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 mobile chipset for flagship devices.

According to preliminary data, the new chipset will be manufactured using the improved 3-nm second-generation TSMC process technology. The maximum clock frequency will reach 4.4 GHz versus 4.32 GHz for the previous version. It is expected that the performance increase of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 will be about 30% compared to its predecessor.

In addition to the mobile solution, the event will likely present a new generation of Snapdragon X ARM chips for PCs, but details about these developments are still unknown.

The shift in the dates of the Snapdragon Summit may indicate a change in the release schedule of new devices. Earlier, it became known that the release of the stable version of Android 16 was postponed to June, and then the update will quickly spread to Samsung devices. An earlier presentation of the flagship Qualcomm processor potentially indicates an accelerated announcement of top smartphones, including the Xiaomi 16 and OnePlus 15, which are traditionally among the first to receive new Snapdragon chips.
