Publishers are ready to delay game releases so as not to compete with GTA 6

Some companies are already developing alternative release schedules for their titles, adapting them to possible changes in the GTA 6 release date. According to one source, Rockstar projects traditionally take up both the audience’s attention and a significant part of their time and money.

In addition to single-player game publishers, similar concerns are expressed by the creators of service games, who prefer not to release large-scale updates and patches during the GTA 6 release period.

GTA 6 is planned to be released in the fall of 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. At the same time, the possible postponement of the release dates could affect the strategy of other studios, which are already waiting for an official announcement from Rockstar Games before setting their own premieres.
