New Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer out: lots of references to games and colorful characters

Paramount Pictures is preparing a Christmas present for fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise — the long-awaited feature film Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is scheduled to premiere on December 20. The second trailer for the film has been released online, filled with spectacular scenes, unexpected plot points, and many references to classic games in the series.

The video features Chao, impressive action sequences, and familiar characters created specifically for previous films. However, the main star of the trailer is Shadow — the iconic antihero who, true to the canon, appeared with a weapon in his hands.

The film promises to be large-scale not only thanks to its gripping plot, but also its stellar cast. In addition to Jim Carrey, who will return as Doctor Robotnik and his father Gerald Robotnik, Keanu Reeves has joined the project. The actor, known for his roles in John Wick and The Matrix, will voice Shadow, the central antagonist of the film. Idris Elba will also be there, once again lending his voice to Knuckles.
