Netflix Announces Release Date for Final Season of The Squid Game — Poster and New Footage Revealed

The streaming service has officially confirmed the premiere date of the third and final season of the popular South Korean show. As the leaks suggested, the final act of the story will begin on June 27.

The service also released the debut poster of the season and several exclusive shots. In one of them, the protagonist Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae) appears after suppressing a riot of participants in the death games. In addition, Netflix confirmed the return of the main characters, including the mysterious Frontman.

The plot of the third season will be a direct continuation of the second, which ended on a tense cliffhanger. The final episodes are expected to provide answers to the main questions of the series and bring the bloody survival game to an end.
