Microsoft Announces Gears of War Remaster Coming in August

Microsoft has officially presented Gears of War: Reloaded, an improved version of the cult third-person action game. Developed by The Coalition and Sumo Interactive, the action game will be available on August 26, 2024, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 for $40. Owners of the previous Ultimate Edition will be able to get a free update to Reloaded.

Technical improvements include support for 4K/60 FPS in singleplayer and 120 FPS in multiplayer. The title will get updated textures, effects, HDR and Dolby Vision implementation, as well as Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 spatial sound. The developers paid special attention to optimization — the release version completely lacks loading screens.

The multiplayer mode supports crossplay and cross-progression between platforms. For Steam and PS5 users, access to the game does not require a mandatory Xbox account. The project will include full Russian localization with voice acting and subtitles, as well as all additional content released for the original game.
