Metro 2033 Redux is now free for Xbox owners

The authors from the 4A Games studio have launched a temporary giveaway of the updated version of the cult shooter Metro 2033 Redux for owners of Xbox One and X/S consoles. The promotion will last until May 27 inclusive, providing a three-day window to get the game for free through the official Microsoft store.

The 2014 Redux version is a significantly reworked version of the original shooter with modernized visuals, improved animations, support for 60 frames per second and numerous technical improvements. This offer is especially symbolic in the year of the 15th anniversary of the Metro franchise, based on the works of Dmitry Glukhovsky.

A similar promotion was previously held for users of other platforms, which indicates the desire of the developers to introduce a new audience to the origins of the popular post-apocalyptic series. After the end of the promotion, the game will return to the standard price in digital stores.
