Mafia: The Old Country Release Date Accidentally Leaked on Steam

The development of large video games today involves so many participants and processes that abnormal situations occur from time to time. One of these happened with Mafia: The Old Country — an unannounced release date for the title suddenly appeared on Steam.

On several regional pages of the project, users noticed that in the section with information about the broadcast of materials on the game at the PAX East event, a specific release date was indicated — August 8. Later, the error was fixed, but the information still managed to spread across the Internet.

Mafia: The Old Country is a prequel to the original three parts of the franchise. The crime drama will take the player to Sicily in the 1900s. The title is being created for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series and promises to show the origins of the crime saga, which laid the foundation for the events of the classic games of the series.
