iPhone 17 Air Shown in Comparison with Other Models — Record Thinness Raises Questions

Well-known blogger Lewis Hilsenteger from the YouTube channel Unbox Therapy demonstrated mockups of the upcoming Apple iPhone 17 series smartphones, including the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. The mockups were created based on drawings used by accessory manufacturers, which makes their dimensions extremely similar to real devices.

Measurements showed that the thickness of the iPhone 17 Air case is only 5.65 mm, which is 3.1 mm thinner than the mockup of the iPhone 17 Pro Max (8.75 mm). This design looks impressive, but Hilsenteger expressed doubts about the strength of the structure, recalling the problems with bending the case of the iPhone 6 Plus.

The event to present the iPhone 17 series is scheduled for September 2025, but already in early June at the WWDC 2025 event, Apple will present updates to its operating systems, which will probably be optimized for the new models. The question remains whether the company can maintain the balance between thinness and reliability in the iPhone 17 Air.
