According to insider Daniel Richtman, Sony is preparing another big-budget installment of the franchise, which will change not only the setting, but also the mythological basis. According to him, the company is already casting actors from Egypt, Turkey, Syria and the UAE, which indicates a possible transition to the Egyptian pantheon.

The idea of ​​using Egyptian mythology was discussed during the development of God of War (2018). Creative director Corey Balrog previously said that the studio considered this option, but ultimately opted for the Scandinavian gods. Now, it seems, the time has come for Kratos to travel to the lands of the pyramids and ancient Egyptian deities.
