After the confirmation of the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, information about another cult Bethesda project has leaked online – an updated version of Fallout 3. According to the authoritative insider NateTheHate, work on the remaster is underway, and the company has not abandoned these plans.

However, you should not expect a quick release: according to preliminary information, the release of Fallout 3 Remastered will take place no earlier than in 2-3 years. The timing may be affected by the success or failure of the upcoming remaster of Oblivion, the release of which, according to leaks, is scheduled for next week.

At the same time, fans have a reason to worry: Oblivion Remastered is being developed by Virtuos, a studio known for optimization problems in the remaster of The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. If similar issues surface in the updated version of Oblivion, it could force Bethesda to reconsider its approach to the Fallout 3 remaster.
