Insider: Apple Watch Ultra 3 to Get Satellite Communication and Blood Pressure Monitor

The Cupertino company is preparing major changes for its line of smart watches. According to analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which is expected in 2025, will be a real technological update to the series. The main novelty will be the function of sending text messages via satellite communications. This will make the gadget one of the first mass devices of this kind with support for satellite data exchange.

Among other improvements, the ability to measure blood pressure using a built-in tonometer is mentioned. Such functionality can make the Watch Ultra 3 even more attractive to users who monitor their health.

Apple also intends to change the modem supplier: instead of Intel, the company plans to use MediaTek solutions, which will reduce its dependence on the previous partner. In addition, support for 5G networks is expected, which will add even more opportunities for fast data exchange to the device.

The presentation of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is scheduled for September 2025.
