Hideo Kojima Shows 20 Minutes of Death Stranding 2 Gameplay Ahead of June Release

Kojima Productions held a large-scale presentation of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, during which they showed 20 minutes of gameplay. The event was attended by the game’s creator Hideo Kojima, as well as actors Troy Baker (Higgs) and Shiori Kutsuna (Rainy). The demonstration began with an episode where Sam Porter Bridges overcomes rocky terrain, facing natural disasters – a collapse frightens baby Lou so much that the main character has to calm him down.

Next, viewers were shown a fragment that takes place among lights and fireworks – here Sam meets fighters of the mysterious Nile, a new antagonist who took the place of Cliff from the first part. The plot continues the story of Bridges, who will have to not only save humanity from extinction, but also restore connections between people outside the United States. The geography of the game will expand to Australia and Mexico, offering new locations and challenges.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on June 26 exclusively for PlayStation 5. According to retailers, the project will receive full localization into Russian, including voice acting, which will especially please fans of the franchise.
