Hideo Kojima Plans to Make a Movie After Completing a New Game

The famous game designer Hideo Kojima has revealed his creative plans for the coming years. After the release of Death Stranding 2, he will begin work on the spy action game Physint, which will become the spiritual successor to the cult Metal Gear series. The development of this project, according to Kojima himself, will take about five to six years.

The 61-year-old creator admitted that after completing Physint, he intends to try himself in film directing. Kojima explained this decision by his love for cinema, which had a significant influence on his work. He emphasized that he wants to realize this dream while he maintains creative energy and health.

It is noteworthy that Kojima did not mention the previously announced horror project OD in his plans. This may indicate that the developer does not consider this game as a large-scale work in comparison with Physint. Fans of Kojima’s work are now especially interested in not only his game projects, but also his potential debut in the film industry.
