Hardcore is just around the corner: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will receive a new difficulty mode in April

Warhorse Studios has officially announced the release date of the long-awaited hardcore mode for its successful action RPG. The free update, which adds a new difficulty level, will be available from April 14 to 18.

The main feature of the mode will be the complete absence of familiar assistants such as a mark on the map and a fast travel function. Gamers will have to navigate the terrain on their own, planning routes taking into account the topography of the world.

In addition, before starting the hardcore mode, you will need to choose at least three of ten negative traits, each of which will significantly complicate the gameplay. Among the possible conditions are a decrease in the carried weight, a loud step during stealth movement, reduced experience gain, a character’s tendency to sleepwalking, and other “delights”.

Also expected are less obvious changes regarding the economy and balance, which will further enhance realism. The previous patch already set the stage for the update by adding two achievements related to Hardcore mode – including one for completing the game with all ten negative traits.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will also receive three story DLCs throughout the year, but they will arrive later.
