GTA 5 has surpassed 215 million copies sold

Take-Two Interactive has shared the latest statistics on its flagship franchises. The legendary action game GTA 5 continues to show record numbers — 215 million copies have been sold since its release in 2013, which is 5 million more than in February of this year. The total circulation of the entire GTA series has reached an impressive 450 million copies.

The publisher’s other major series, Red Dead Redemption, remains no less successful. The second part of the western, RDR 2, sold 74 million copies, and the total sales of the series are 100 million.

GTA 5 still holds the status of the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, reaching one billion dollars in retail sales faster than any other product. In addition, the game remains the leader of the last ten years in the United States both in the number of copies sold and in revenue.
