The official release of the multiplayer survival MMO Dune: Awakening, based on the famous saga by Frank Herbert, is coming soon. Players who received early access are actively exploring the sandy expanses of Arrakis and sharing their first impressions on Steam. At the moment, the game has collected more than 2.7 thousand reviews with an overall rating of “Very Positive”.

Users highly appreciated the atmosphere of the desert planet, which is completely in line with the spirit of the original “Dune”. However, some noted technical problems, including imperfect optimization and server overload, due to which some players even lost characters. Despite this, the overall impression remains positive.

Many players emphasize that the training is intuitive, and the gameplay offers a variety of activities – from collecting resources and building to mastering new skills. The graphics are praised for their detail, especially at maximum settings. Although some have encountered typical “release diseases” such as bugs and lags, most agree that the project already looks promising.

Particular attention is paid to the combat system and the exploration aspect, which many found well-thought-out and exciting. However, some users complain about high ping due to connecting to Asian servers.

Dune: Awakening will be released on June 10 this year on PC, and the developers from Funcom plan to release versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in the future. So far, the game has demonstrated a stable online, and fans of the genre are eagerly awaiting its full launch.
