Game of Thrones star named frontrunner for Lara Croft role in new series

Two actresses may try on the role of the Tomb Raider.

A casting for the role of Lara Croft in the reboot series, which is being developed by Amazon, was recently held. Two actresses took part in it – Sophie Turner, best known for the cult show “Game of Thrones”, and Lucy Boynton from the musical biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody”. As a result, Turner became the main contender for the role of Lara. Now, negotiations are underway between her and the creators.

The series is being produced together with Amazon by actress and screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny”, the series “Fleabag”), as well as the Crystal Dynamics studio, responsible for the games of the Lara Croft franchise.
