Forza Horizon 5 Triumphantly Launches on PlayStation 5, Selling Over 1.4 Million Copies
- AYG -The release of Forza Horizon 5 on PlayStation 5 has become a clear confirmation that Microsoft’s strategy of abandoning strict exclusivity is beginning to bear fruit. According to analysts from Alinea Analytics, the arcade racing simulator from Xbox Game Studios has demonstrated impressive results: in the first eight days, over 1.4 million owners of the Sony game console purchased the game.

Against the backdrop of the success of the race, Sea of Thieves also performed well, selling over 650 thousand copies. But the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was much less successful – sales stopped at around 133 thousand, which is perceived as a failure for such a brand.

Taking into account the sales dynamics, analysts are already predicting that the next part of Forza Horizon, which will initially be available on all major platforms, may surpass its predecessor. At the same time, interest in the fifth part will be supported by upcoming sales, which promises further growth in the audience. At the same time, Sony is in no hurry to respond symmetrically – its hits still remain the privilege of its own devices, especially against the backdrop of weak sales of the Xbox Series, which makes such a strategy quite understandable.
