Forza Horizon 5 Officially Announced for PlayStation 5

Microsoft continues to expand the boundaries of its ecosystem, gradually abandoning the strategy of exclusives. Another major project of the corporation, which will receive a port to another platform, is Forza Horizon 5.

Yesterday it was announced that the cult racing game will be released on PlayStation 5. The new version, developed by Panic Button studio, will include all the content available on PC and Xbox, and will also receive support for cross-platform multiplayer. Although the project page has already appeared in the PlayStation Store, the exact release date remains unknown.

In addition, Microsoft announced a free update Horizon Realms, which will add the Evolving Worlds mode to the game, allowing you to travel through user worlds, as well as several unexpected surprises.

The original Forza Horizon 5 was released in 2021, becoming one of the most successful games in the series. However, like its predecessors, it will not remain on sale forever: due to licensing restrictions, Microsoft is forced to remove the games in the series six years after their release. So, in December 2023, a similar fate befell Forza Horizon 4.
