Forza Horizon 4 Removed From Digital Stores Permanently

This was an expected but sad event for fans of the series. From December 16, 2024, the race will disappear forever from Steam and Microsoft Store. However, users who managed to purchase the race earlier will have access to it.

The end of sales was announced back in June so that fans had time to replenish their collections. Since December 9, the game was offered with a record discount of 80%. This step became a kind of farewell to the 2018 hit, which remained on the market for more than six years.

The problem of the game’s departure is related to the expiration of licenses for cars and music, which is a common practice for racing simulators. Now, of the available parts of the series, only Forza Horizon 5, released in the fall of 2021, remains in digital stores. However, its days on sale may be numbered in the future for the same reason.

Forza Horizon 4 was released in October 2018. Playground Games and Microsoft’s racing game gained popularity thanks to its picturesque British landscapes, seasonal weather changes and extensive car fleet. Its exit from stores is another reminder that digital releases can have a lifespan.
