First Win: GTA 6 Wins Golden Joystick Awards 2024

The ceremony took place on November 21.

GTA 6 won the Most Wanted Game nomination. A total of 20 titles were up for the award, and the Rockstar project beat out potential hits like Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the Death Stranding sequel, new parts of DOOM and Mafia, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, etc. in the players’ vote.

As for the main categories, it is worth noting the success in the Game of the Year nomination for the action game Black Myth: Wukong. Satisfactory took the palm in the category for the best PC project, and Helldivers 2 was recognized as the best title for game consoles. GTA 6 is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series. Later, the crime action game may also make its way to PC. Interestingly, the title has already received a nomination for “Most Anticipated Game” at another prestigious award, The Game Awards 2024.
