Filming for the Watch Dogs movie has finished

There are no details about the plot or release date for the film yet.

Ubisoft is directly involved in the development of the project, the studio also announced the end of filming, which lasted 2.5 months. It is known that the action of the film will unfold in the Watch Dogs universe, but the plot will not be based on the game trilogy.

Tom Blythe, known for the recent “Hunger Games”, will play the role of the protagonist in the film. In the director’s chair is Mathieu Turi (“The Maze Runner”, “Descent into the Abyss”).

In the Watch Dogs game trilogy, several hackers enter into a confrontation with the authorities and the ctOS operating system, which unites megacities into a single network. The last of the three parts, subtitled Legion, was released in 2020.
