Fallout series beats The Rings of Power as viewers turn away from fantasy epic en masse

Amazon is no longer in a hurry to boast about the success of the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and, according to Luminate analysts, there are reasons for this. The show’s real audience has decreased by 60%, and the project itself did not even make it into the top 10 most popular series of 2024.

At the same time, The Rings of Power initially demonstrated high viewing figures, but, as analysts note, streaming services often lie: even those viewers who turned on the episode for a few seconds are included in the statistics.

But the Fallout series confidently took eighth place in the ranking, gaining 7.38 billion minutes of viewing – significantly more than the fantasy from Amazon. The success of the show about the post-apocalyptic world ensured its continuation: the second season is already in production, although filming had to be temporarily suspended due to the fires in Los Angeles.
