Devolver Digital is not giving up on its ambitious plan to release its game on the same day as GTA VI, despite the recent delay of the high-profile new release from Rockstar Games.

At the end of last week, it became known that the release of GTA VI, previously scheduled for the end of 2025, has been postponed to spring 2026. Many companies perceived this change in the calendar as a chance to avoid competition with the largest gaming event of the decade, but not Devolver.

Last weekend, the publisher posted a laconic message on social networks with the date of May 26, 2026 and a characteristic signature hinting at the determination to compete with the industry giant. This gesture became a kind of confirmation of the promise made back in March, when Devolver announced plans to synchronize the release of one of its projects with the release of GTA VI.

There is still no official information about which title is planned for launch, but the press is actively discussing two possible candidates – continuations of the cult series Enter the Gungeon or Hotline Miami.
