Confirmed: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake really exists — first screenshots leaked online
- AYG -There have been rumors for a long time about a possible remake of the cult RPG TES IV: Oblivion, but now players have the first proof. Screenshots and promotional materials of the updated version of the game called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered have leaked online.
Previously, skeptics doubted the existence of the project, considering it another fake leak. However, the published images confirm that the remake is indeed being developed. According to insiders, Virtuos studio not only improved textures and resolution, but also completely transferred the game to Unreal Engine 5, which radically changed its visual component. In addition, the developers reworked the gameplay and interface to adapt the project to modern standards.
Fans noticed that the remaster retained the DLC with horse armor, which will be included in the Deluxe edition. The exact release date has not yet been officially announced, but insiders (including journalist Jeff Grubb) suggest that the game will be released between April 21 and 27.
Interestingly, one user contacted Xbox support and received a response according to which Oblivion Remastered could appear on Game Pass as early as April 21. The project is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Bethesda and Microsoft are keeping quiet for now, but if the leak is true, an official announcement could take place in the coming days.
