Comparison of GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition modification with the official Definitive Edition amazed gamers

Fans of GTA: Vice City have once again proven that sometimes enthusiasts can outdo the official developers. On January 25, the GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition mod was released, transferring the legendary action game to the RAGE engine used in GTA IV.

Players immediately noticed how well the modders’ work was done. Against the backdrop of the disappointing re-release from the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition collection, the fan-made project looks more detailed and well-developed. The author of the YouTube channel Gameinvader released a video where he compared the physics and various elements of the two versions of the game in detail, which only emphasized the gap in quality.

However, the fate of Nextgen Edition remains in question. The day before the release, Take-Two Interactive blocked the official channel of the mod’s developers, citing copyright infringement. For now, the project is freely roaming the Internet, but no one knows how long it will remain in the public domain.
